2023 Bakery Muffin Base (Recipe)
First released in 2023 on Etsy and now available here in the Market.
If you previously purchased this muffin base through Etsy, this is the exact same recipe. A solid, reliable formula for bakery-style muffins with tall domes, a tender crumb, and endless flavor possibilities.
A new muffin base may be added for 2025, so if you’re a longtime member of the Bakeshop or previously came from Etsy, you may already own this file.
This recipe was intentionally developed as a base, not a one-flavor muffin. It’s designed to give bakers a strong foundation to create their own flavor variations — blueberry, chocolate, seasonal spice blends, filled muffins, streusel toppings, and more.
The sweetness level is slightly lower than commercial muffins so you can build flavor and balance based on your add-ins. A sugar adjustment guide is included if you prefer a sweeter result.
Yields:
• ~12 large bakery muffins (90–95% full cups)
• ~6 jumbo muffins
• More if filling at ¾ volume or 2/3
The recipe is developed in metric measurements, with approximate US conversions provided. For best results, bake in metric.
