Recipe Developer Self Study Guide
New Free Resource
One of the questions I get asked the most is how I learned recipe development and where someone should even begin if they want to learn it themselves.
I recently shared a video on TikTok talking about what recipe development looks like in my own work, specializing in bakery and café development condensed into one TikTok. Instead of trying to answer every question in one video, I decided to put together a free study guide that gives you a roadmap of the subjects, terminology, books, and research resources that have helped shape the way I learn.
This isn't a recipe book, and it isn't a course. Think of it more like a reference guide you can come back to whenever you're ready to learn something new.
There is not only one way to learn. Quite the opposite. I wanted to organize the subjects that have been worth studying throughout my own career and give you a place to start if you're curious about recipe development, whether you're interested in baking professionally, creating recipes for your own business, writing a cookbook, developing café beverages, or simply understanding why recipes work.
I hope it saves you some time, gives you a few new rabbit holes to explore, and helps you build your own understanding one subject at a time.
I hope you enjoy it!
